Why Choose Our Black Clay Arepera Platter?
Crafted with Care: Handmade in the village of La Chamba by over 1300 skilled Artisans, each piece is meticulously shaped on the wheel and fired twice. Rice husks are added during the second firing, creating the deep, enchanting black colour. The smooth finish is achieved through painstaking hand-burnishing with stones.
Versatile and Safe: Our Black Clay platter is non-toxic and safe to use on the stovetop, in the oven (up to 450 degrees), microwave, and even the dishwasher. It's designed for both functionality and aesthetics.
Savour the Flavour: This platter retains heat exceptionally well, enhancing the flavours of your favourite dishes. Whether you're serving tortillas, soft tacos, roti bread, antipasto, cheese, fruit, or nibbles, it keeps your food warm and inviting.
Unique, Just Like You: Embrace the slight variations in size, shape, and colour (0-20%) that come with Artisan craftsmanship. It's what makes each piece one-of-a-kind.
