The Craft Story

The Sombrero Cali Set comes from Tuchín, Córdoba — the heartland of the Zenú Indigenous community, where Caña Flecha weaving has been practised for over 500 years. Each piece is meticulously crafted by artisans from the Sombrero Vueltiao Association, who split, soften and polish native cane fibres before weaving them into intricate patterns by hand.

Using 19 fine fibres, the artisans create a structure that is both flexible and strong — allowing the hat to be rolled without losing its form. This technique cannot be replicated at scale, meaning every set carries its own unique character and story.

Product Care:

• Avoid leaving your hat in hot environments such as inside a car
• If wet, gently shake off excess water and allow it to air dry in the shade
• Do not expose to direct heat or direct sun drying
• After use in very dry heat, lightly mist with water and allow fibres to rehydrate
• Travel care: designed to be rolled for packing — fold and roll gently without pressure, and allow it to rest after unrolling to regain its natural shape
