The Craft Story
These bracelets are handcrafted in the Ishipaa Community, La Guajira Desert, Colombia, by Wayuu artisan Sandra Aguilar and her family. Wayuu weaving is deeply rooted in ancestral belief — legend tells of a sacred spider who taught women the art of weaving, a tradition that continues today.
Each bracelet is created using macramé and hand-knotting techniques, taking up to a full day to complete. Every design reflects connection to nature, identity and spiritual storytelling, making each piece a meaningful expression of culture.
