The Craft Story
These Bamboo Baskets are handcrafted in Boyacá, Colombia by the EcoZetaquira Women’s Association, a collective of rural women preserving ancestral weaving traditions.
Made from sustainably harvested giant cane bamboo, each basket reflects a deep respect for nature — from selecting mature fibres to ensuring biodiversity is maintained. Traditionally used as harvest baskets, they carry a legacy of resilience, functionality and cultural meaning.
Each piece is entirely handmade, resulting in subtle variations that make every basket unique — a reflection of heritage, craftsmanship and connection to the land.
